Lady Gaga goes to court after bad doll romance
By Unknown - Thursday, July 26, 2012

According to the creator of the Bratz doll line, MGA Entertainment, the toy maker paid a $1 million advance to the company that handles Gaga's merchandizing. The dolls were supposed to reflect Gaga's signature style – her famous “meat dress”, for one, making even the boldest fashionistas raise an eyebrow.
Things went wrong when the singer's merchandiser decided to abolish the key part of the deal, allowing the dolls to use the singer's music. Gaga's representatives finally withdrew from the multimillion-dollar project, reportedly jeopardizing up to $30 million in expected revenue from the upcoming shopping season, and holding up orders from at least 10 countries.
A representative for Lady Gaga called the lawsuit "ill-conceived", saying there was "no legitimate reason" to drag the singer into a dispute between the two companies.
